Our Team
Providing Australian eCommerce businesses with an expanded suite of services, including bookkeeping, accounting, vCFO, and tax
Cloudcounting merges with Bean Ninjas
We started CloudCounting to provide specialized accounting for eCommerce businesses.
Most general accountants are completely out of their depth. They are not able to support their clients with questions about this specialized area, particularly with how the data syncs between the shopping cart, inventory system and accounting system.
At CloudCounting, we believe in the ‘single source of truth.’ We integrate Shopify with Xero. We use Xero for all accounting and bookkeeping, including BAS, chart of accounts, and financial year-end reporting. There is no need to transfer data to other ledgers.
As a remote-first team, we communicate with our clients using Zoom and Loom. However, we have offices based in Australia, USA, and UK to support compliance regulations associated with your overseas sales.
Our “Why”
You know the famous saying … It’s not the what, it’s the WHY …
CloudCounting was established because we have found time and time again that “traditional” accountants were not servicing eCommerce properly.
We have taken on eCommerce clients that had no inventory on their balance sheet (when they were selling physical product), were not accounting for supplier deposits correctly, and had hundreds of unreconciled syncs from their shopping cart.
In the eCommerce space, many accountants are completely out of their depth. They are not able to support their clients with questions about this specialized area, particularly with how the data syncs between the shopping cart, inventory system and accounting system.
We believe in the ‘single source of truth’. We integrate Shopify with Xero. We use Xero for day to day accounting, we use Xero for BAS lodgement and we use Xero for year end and financial statement preparation. There is no need to transfer data to other ledgers. We also use Xero to run our practice management system.
We communicate with our clients using automated tools such as Zoom and Loom. Clients love that they have recorded videos with training instructions that they can refer to.
