After spending an hour trying to figure this out myself today – and I’d rather not be doing that on a Saturday, I thought I’d document how to add a staff member to your ATO tax agent / BAS agent portal.
The ATO has a number of portals we tax agents receive access to:
- The Tax Portal
- ATO Access Manager
- Auskey Manager
If you wish to invite a staff member in to access your tax portal, you must first log on to the AusKey Manager. You do this exactly the same way you do for logging into your tax portal.
Once you have logged in to the Auskey Manager, click on register new Auskeys. Fill in the information required and click on next. Your staff member will receive an email with the invitation and instructions on what to do next.
Once your staff member has set up the Auskey, log into Access Manager. You can manage access and permissions here for the new staff member.
